Welbeck Chambray

Manor House FabricCCF0076-02

Welbeck Chambray combines a warm ivory ground with cool blue-grey vertical striping, creating a clean, quietly tailored effect. The narrow woven bands show a subtle braided texture that gives the surface more depth than a plain stripe.

About this fabric

The 137 cm-wide fabric has closely spaced blue-grey stripes on ivory, with each textured band formed from a fine chevron or braided effect alongside a slimmer linear stripe. At 293 gsm, it has a versatile mid-weight presence suited to both upholstery and drapery. Its 3.8 cm horizontal repeat keeps the stripe rhythm precise, while the 0 cm vertical repeat lets the pattern continue cleanly across the length. Supplied in a standard 40 m length, this colourway reads cool and understated rather than strongly contrasted.

How to use it

Use Welbeck Chambray on a tailored chair, blind or full-length curtain where its cool blue-grey lines can sharpen an ivory, pale grey or natural linen scheme. The warm ground keeps the stripe from feeling stark, while the vertical direction adds a sense of height.

Use the cool blue-grey stripe to bring tailored definition to ivory, grey or natural-toned schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
