Manor House FabricCCF0076-03

Welbeck Charcoal pairs cool charcoal stripes with a softly warm oat ground in a closely woven vertical design. Its fine alternating lines give the surface a neat, tailored rhythm without overwhelming the neutral palette.

About this fabric

The design features narrow vertical charcoal bands, alternating between solid lines and subtly broken, chevron-like woven detailing, against a light oat background. The contrast is defined but muted, with the warm ground tempering the deeper grey and giving the colourway a quietly grounded feel. At 137 cm wide and 293 gsm, it is a substantial mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. The 3.8 cm horizontal repeat records the close spacing of the stripe structure, while the vertical repeat is 0 cm.

How to use it

Use Welbeck Charcoal on a tailored armchair, bench or dining seat where its narrow charcoal lines will sharpen the silhouette, or hang it as curtains to introduce understated vertical lift. Pair the warm oat ground with natural timber, stone and soft grey accents rather than stark white.

The warm oat ground softens the cool charcoal stripes, making this a versatile choice for tailored upholstery or full-length curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Welbeck Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
