Arva Charcoal

Natura FabricCCF0465-02

Arva Charcoal is a deeply muted grey textile with a fine, all-over geometric weave. Its charcoal ground is softened by closely worked lighter and darker threads, giving the surface quiet depth rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric

The small angular motif reads as a restrained, broken chevron pattern, visible through the tonal contrast of the weave rather than a bold printed design. At 228 gsm, Arva has a versatile mid-weight handle suited to both upholstery and drapery. The 138 cm usable width supports practical cutting, while the 22.5 cm vertical and 23 cm horizontal pattern repeats keep the understated geometry easy to place. The cool charcoal colouring gives the fabric a composed, contemporary feel, with the fine texture catching light softly across the surface.

How to use it

Use Arva Charcoal on an occasional chair, sofa or headboard where its cool grey depth can anchor a scheme without overwhelming it. It also works as a quietly patterned curtain or Roman blind alongside pale stone, smoked wood and brushed metal.

Use its layered charcoal tone and fine geometric texture to add quiet definition to upholstery or softly tailored window treatments.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Arva Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
