Ferrat Lin

Biot FabricM4025-02

Ferrat Lin reads as a calm, softly mottled cream with a natural linen character and a fine, grainy weave. The surface feels light and understated, with just enough texture to give the colour depth.

About this fabric

This colourway has a pale, warm cream ground with a gentle heathered look that comes from the small woven yarns rather than any printed motif. The texture is clearly visible in the close-up, with a compact basket-like weave that gives the cloth a dry, tactile finish. At approximately 142cm wide and with no repeat, it is an easy fabric to pattern match and use across larger upholstered or window projects. The composition blends 30% Linen, 19% Polyester, 19% Wool, 15% Cotton, 12% Viscose and 5% Polyamide, so it combines the relaxed look of linen with extra body and stability.

How to use it

Use Ferrat Lin to soften contemporary upholstery, especially clean-lined sofas, armchairs or ottomans where its warm cream tone will stop a room feeling too stark. It also works well as relaxed drapery beside oak, travertine or painted wood, where the lightly textured surface will add subtle warmth.

A quiet neutral that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or soft drapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
