Huxley Spruce

Huxley FabricJ0294-25

Huxley Spruce is a softly weathered green with a quiet, mossy depth and a fine woven look. The colour reads calm and grounded, with just enough variation in the yarn to stop it feeling flat.

About this fabric

Woven in 51% cotton and 49% polyester, Huxley has a practical feel and a neatly balanced handle, with no repeat to interrupt the surface. This Spruce colourway sits between sage and muted pine, giving the cloth a cool-leaning green character rather than a yellowed or olive cast. The weave shows a light crosshatch texture that catches the light subtly, adding softness and dimension across the 138cm width. With care code C 8 + T 3 and fire code K, it is a versatile textile for schemes that need a restrained colour with a lived-in finish.

How to use it

Use Huxley Spruce on an armchair, banquette or full-length curtains where the understated green can anchor a room without overpowering it. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky whites and deeper botanical accents.

A calm spruce tone that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or relaxed drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
