Huxley Soft Red is a quiet, softly mottled red with a warm, slightly faded finish. The close weave gives the surface a gentle textile character rather than a flat solid look.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a softened red with coral and terracotta undertones, lifted by the fine crossweave visible across the surface. The 51% cotton and 49% polyester composition gives it a naturally textile feel with a practical balance of comfort and stability. With no visible pattern repeat and an approximate width of 138cm, it is an easy plain for tailored schemes and upholstery projects alike. The overall effect is warm and restrained, sitting between blush and brick rather than a strong primary red.

How to use it

Use it on a compact armchair, banquette or occasional cushions where its muted warmth can bring colour without overwhelming the room. It pairs well with chalky neutrals, aged timber and soft pink or terracotta accents.

A versatile warm red that softens easily with oak, linen and neutral upholstery shapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
