Manuel Canovas

Opio Taupe

Opio FabricM4014-02

Opio Taupe combines a softly glowing taupe ground with a small, regular geometric motif that reads crisp and tailored. The tiny gold-toned detailing gives the surface a quiet lift without overpowering the background.

About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is woven in a 46% Cotton, 38% Polyester and 16% Viscose composition, with a repeat of V 7cm / H 6cm approx and a width of 144cm approx. The design shows a dense, small-scale geometric pattern arranged in orderly rows, giving the cloth a measured, architectural feel. In this colourway, the taupe ground looks warm and sandy rather than cool, while the golden motif brings a muted sheen that catches the light gently. The balance of cotton, polyester and viscose suggests a practical textile with enough structure for seating as well as a refined enough handle for curtains or decorative schemes.

How to use it

Pair Opio Taupe with pale oak, bronzed metals and parchment neutrals to keep the warm taupe tone elegant and grounded. It also works well alongside deep olive or ink accents, where the small gold motif can quietly echo the richer colours around it.

A neatly scaled geometric with a warm taupe ground and soft gold accents, ideal for tailored interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Opio Taupe without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
