Seaton Stripe Old Blue

Silvano Stripes FabricF4970-03

Seaton Stripe Old Blue is a finely drawn stripe with a cool, faded blue reading against a pale ground. The effect is crisp but gentle, with just enough contrast to show the woven detail.

About this fabric

This Silvano Stripes fabric by Colefax and Fowler has a neat vertical stripe repeat of approximately V 2cm / H 5cm, giving the design a slender, orderly rhythm. The cloth is 145cm wide approximately and composed of 50% Cotton, 33% Viscose, 11% Acrylic, 4% Linen and 2% Polyamide, which helps explain its smooth handle and softly structured finish. In this colourway, the old blue lines sit lightly on an ivory base, so the stripe feels cool, washed and understated rather than bright. The fine woven texture adds a subtle heritage character without making the pattern look heavy.

How to use it

Use it on a pair of upholstered occasional chairs, or run it at the window where the pale blue stripe will keep the scheme airy. It sits well with bleached timber, white painted joinery and quiet grey-blue accents.

Pair with chalky neutrals and pale woods for a calm, tailored room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
