Tanya Ciel presents a cool, vertical stripe with a calm blue-grey ground and slender pale bands that lift the design. The effect is tailored and quietly elegant, with a lightly textured woven look.

About this fabric

This Manuel Canovas fabric is composed of 43% Cotton, 34% Viscose, 14% Linen, 7% Acrylic and 2% Polyester, and it comes in an approximate 295cm width with a repeat of V 74cm / H 37cm approx. Visually, Tanya Ciel reads as a restrained blue-grey stripe with narrow creamy pinstripes and deeper teal-tinged lanes between them. The surface has a woven, slightly slubby character that softens the geometry and keeps the stripe from feeling stark. Its cool tone and medium-scale repeat give it enough presence for a room without overwhelming other finishes.

How to use it

Use Tanya Ciel on relaxed drapery where the tall stripe can emphasise ceiling height, or on upholstered pieces with clean lines. The cool blue-grey palette works especially well with chalky whites, weathered oak and brushed nickel.

Use for tailored curtains or structured upholstery where the cool stripes can read crisp and refined.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Tanya Ciel without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
