About this fabric

This chenille is woven from 52% acrylic and 48% polyester and has a 138cm width. The colour reads as a saturated garnet red, deepened by fine darker striations and a lightly mottled surface rather than a printed motif. Its plush, tactile appearance makes it especially effective on domestic upholstery where the rich red can give chairs, sofas and footstools a dramatic focal point. The fabric is graded for domestic upholstery, with professional aftercare; it has Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use IMP1569 on a statement armchair, ottoman or full sofa to bring a warm, wine-red depth into a room. Balance its intense garnet tone with aged timber, smoked metal or quieter neutral textiles so the textured surface remains the focus.

A richly coloured chenille with softly striated texture, suited to domestic seating and statement upholstered pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
