About this fabric

The deep burgundy-red background gives this colourway a warm, dramatic depth, while the woven chenille texture softens the overall impression. Ornate paisley scrolls, floral sprigs and curling tracery are picked out in muted gold and olive, with occasional teal-blue and pale highlights catching the light. The fabric is 138cm wide and composed of 52% acrylic and 48% polyester, with a Domestic upholstery grade. Professional aftercare is required; it has Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Its wine-red tone suits a formal reading chair, buttoned footstool or feature sofa, particularly alongside aged timber, antique brass and plain warm neutrals that allow the gold and teal accents to show.

Use this wine-dark burgundy chenille on a statement chair or sofa, balancing its ornate gold, teal and olive detailing with quieter furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
