About this fabric

This colourway reads as a deep charcoal black, softened slightly by the small-scale chenille texture visible across the surface. Its even, low-contrast weave catches the light in tiny shifts, creating a more tactile appearance than a completely flat black cloth. Made from 99% polyester and 1% nylon, the 138cm-wide fabric is graded for both contract and domestic upholstery. It is machine washable and offers domestic cigarette-and-match flame retardancy, with the option to be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Pair the deep charcoal tone with pale oak, warm ivory or brushed metal to create contrast without introducing a competing pattern. It is especially effective on sofas, dining chairs and occasional upholstery where its restrained texture can carry a dark colour confidently.
