About this fabric

Woven from 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide chenille has a close, tactile texture made from interlacing vertical and horizontal-looking yarns. The charcoal-black colour reads cool and substantial, while scattered grey highlights catch across the surface to create a gently mottled finish. It is rated for Contract and Domestic upholstery and is machine washable for practical everyday use. Flame retardancy is Domestic Cig & Match, with treatment available to achieve Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Pair this cool charcoal colourway with pale timber, brushed metal or warm stone to balance its depth. On a sofa or occasional chair, the mottled grey texture will add definition without introducing a strong printed motif.

Use this deep charcoal chenille to bring definition to sofas, armchairs or dining seats while its grey flecks soften the near-black ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
