About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, ROM4192 is a chenille fabric supplied at 138cm wide for contract and domestic upholstery. The close weave appears almost black at first glance, while subtle charcoal variation across the surface reveals the chenille texture. This gives the colourway a tailored, quietly dimensional character rather than a glossy or patterned finish. It is machine washable and has a Domestic Cig & Match flame-retardancy rating, with treatment available to achieve Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use ROM4192 on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its deep charcoal tone can anchor lighter walls and timber finishes. Pair it with warm neutrals or brushed metal to bring out the soft tonal movement in the weave.

Use this near-black chenille to give upholstery a grounded, tailored finish with subtle woven depth.
