About this fabric

The colour reads almost black at first glance, but its charcoal base is softened by scattered grey flecks and subtle tonal variation across the weave. This chenille is made from 91% polyester and 9% viscose, with a 138cm width suited to upholstery applications. It has a Contract upholstery grade and requires professional aftercare. Flame retardancy is listed as Domestic Cig & Match, with the option to treat the fabric to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use the near-black charcoal tone to give sofas, dining seats or occasional chairs a grounded, tailored presence. Its fine flecking will sit comfortably with pale timber, brushed metal and lighter textured furnishings without looking completely flat.

A near-black charcoal chenille that brings quiet depth to contract upholstery and contemporary seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
