MIR3850 is a deep charcoal-black chenille with a closely packed, pebbled surface. Fine grey highlights appear between the dark fibres, giving this near-black colourway quiet depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

This 138cm-wide chenille is woven from 87% polyester and 13% cotton, making it suitable for both contract and domestic upholstery. The image shows a dense, nubby texture with small irregular flecks and softly varied charcoal tones across the surface. Its cool, almost black appearance gives upholstered furniture a tailored, contemporary presence while the textured face adds visual softness. Aftercare is professional; it has Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use MIR3850 on a sofa, occasional chair or dining seat where its charcoal-black depth can anchor a room. Pair it with pale stone, smoked oak or brushed metal to bring out the subtle grey texture without lightening its dramatic tone.

A dense charcoal chenille for contract or domestic upholstery, with a subtly irregular surface that disguises everyday marks.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
