Botanical Purple

Fabrics Fabric140

Botanical Purple has a deep blue-purple ground scattered with broken burgundy-red organic marks. Its densely textured surface gives the colourway a moody, layered depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The close, irregular weave creates a tactile surface in which flashes of blue and burgundy shift across the dark ground. Loose, abstract marks suggest botanical shapes without forming a regular repeat, giving the fabric a richly mottled appearance. The blue-purple tone reads cool and saturated, while the red-brown accents add warmth and visual depth. This substantial-looking woven textile is particularly suited to upholstery where its intricate surface can be seen at close range.

How to use it

Use Botanical Purple on a reading chair, ottoman or compact sofa, balancing its cool blue depth with aged timber, soft ivory and small touches of rust or burgundy.

Use this deep, cool-toned colourway on a statement chair or sofa against warm timber and restrained neutral walls.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
