About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is 140cm wide and woven in 78% polyester and 22% cotton, with a 32cm vertical repeat and 35.5cm horizontal repeat. The swatch shows a large-scale tartan with warm red crossing lines, soft brown fields and darker charcoal accents that keep the check looking grounded rather than bright. Its surface appears smooth and neatly woven, so the pattern stays sharp and tailored across the cloth. The overall effect is a heritage plaid with enough contrast to stand out on a statement chair or bench.

How to use it

Use this red tartan on an armchair, window seat or loose cover where the check can be seen clearly. It works especially well with antique wood, brushed brass and plain cream companions that let the warm red tone lead.
