Odense Blue

Misc Fabric

Odense Blue pairs a crisp off-white ground with repeating semi-circular motifs in soft indigo and grey-blue tones. The pattern feels neatly ordered and quietly contemporary, with the blue giving the design a fresh, airy edge.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, this fabric is specified for curtains and upholstery and has a 140cm width with a 16cm pattern repeat. The print shows rows of small arch-like half-moons in washed blue, slate and pale stone tones, set against a clear ivory ground. In this colourway the blues read cool rather than bright, so the design feels calm and slightly coastal instead of bold. The lightly speckled, brushed-looking colour effect adds texture to the surface and stops the repeat from feeling flat.

How to use it

Use Odense Blue to bring a crisp, graphic note to simple upholstery, window seats or cushions, where the small repeat can be appreciated up close. It also works well as curtains in rooms with white walls, letting the cool blue motifs stand out without dominating the scheme.

A crisp small-scale print that brings a cool, tailored finish to relaxed interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
