Porter & Stone

Zonda Elephant

Misc Fabric

Zonda Elephant has a dark, olive-leaning ground with a softly weathered, crosshatched surface. Fine pale flecks and the hint of lurex give the cloth a faint lifted sheen rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is 140cm wide and made from 95% polyester and 5% lurex, giving the surface a slight shimmer within its textured weave. The pattern repeat is 34cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal, and in this colourway the design reads as a deep olive-black with lighter khaki and stone highlights breaking through the darker ground. The effect is earthy and subdued, with the metallic threads catching the light just enough to stop the cloth from feeling flat. Its visible body and woven texture make it suitable for both upholstery and drapery where a richer, more grounded look is wanted.

How to use it

Pair it with walnut, antique brass and linen neutrals for a layered scheme that keeps the dark olive tone feeling refined. It also works well as a grounding fabric beside softer sage or parchment shades.

Use with warm wood and aged brass to bring out its subtle metallic fleck.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
