Brooklyn Indigo

What's New Fabric

Brooklyn Indigo shows a neat all-over dot pattern in a cool, softly washed blue-grey indigo. The small repeat gives the surface a tidy, graphic rhythm without feeling harsh.

About this fabric

This Fabric from Fryett's Fabrics' What's New collection is 140cm wide and made from 80% polyester and 20% viscose, with a 6cm vertical and 3.5cm horizontal repeat. The design reads as an ordered field of small oval dots, each one sitting in a muted indigo tone against a paler blue ground. In this colourway the contrast is gentle rather than stark, so the pattern feels calm, slightly chalky, and easy to live with. The weave has a smooth, cloth-like finish that suits a smart interior without looking overly formal.

How to use it

Use Brooklyn Indigo to add subtle pattern to upholstered accent chairs, cushions, or Roman blinds, where the cool blue depth can sit comfortably beside pale oak, white, or brushed metal finishes. It also works well in a layered scheme with greys and off-whites, letting the small-scale motif provide interest without dominating the room.

A cool indigo dot motif that brings crisp structure to upholstery and relaxed drapes alike.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
