Knight's Tale Jewel

G P & J Baker X Kit Kemp Prints & Embroideries FabricBP11058.1

Knight's Tale Jewel unfolds across a warm ivory ground with small painted-looking scenes of palms, towers, animals, flowers and scrolling foliage. Blue-green, ochre, rose and sage details give this colourway a softly faded, storybook richness.

About this fabric

Made from 82% viscose and 18% linen, this 137 cm-wide fabric combines a light ivory background with layered botanical and scenic motifs. Palm trees, tiny architectural forms, deer-like animals, birds, floral sprays and horizontal blue landscape bands create a detailed, illustrated rhythm across the surface. The 79 cm vertical repeat and 27 cm horizontal repeat make the placement of these varied scenes an important part of upholstery and curtain planning. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the ivory ground to brighten a reading chair, headboard or relaxed curtain scheme, then draw out the muted blue, mossy sage, dusty rose and ochre accents with plain cushions or painted furniture. Its scenic scale works especially well where the full repeat can be appreciated rather than hidden in small, heavily tailored pieces.

A warm ivory scenic print with blue, ochre, rose and sage accents for characterful upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
