Calthorpe Aqua has a softly faded taupe ground carrying scrolling botanical stems, stylised leaves, paisley-like blooms and small floral accents. Muted aqua and sage sit alongside dusty blue, ochre and warm brown details, giving the colourway a cool, gently weathered character.

About this fabric

Woven from 35% viscose and 65% linen, this 128 cm-wide fabric has a lightly textured, natural-looking surface visible across the swatch. The pattern repeats every 76 cm vertically and 64 cm horizontally, with curling stems linking broad outlined leaves and ornate floral forms. Its aqua and blue notes are subdued rather than bright, while ochre, cream and brown details add small points of warmth against the taupe background. It is supplied for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; after-care requires professional dry cleaning and the fabric must not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use the cool muted aqua ground on a reading chair, headboard or relaxed curtain, then pick up the swatch’s ochre and dusty blue accents in cushions or painted furniture. The taupe base makes the pattern easy to pair with natural timber and softly neutral walls.
