About this fabric

The design features scrolling grey-taupe stems, stylised leaves and repeated floral heads, with the strongest contrast coming from the muted indigo-blue petals against the light neutral ground. Its 35% linen, 35% viscose and 30% cotton composition has a visible, subtly slubbed woven character. At 128 cm wide, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, with a 38 cm vertical repeat and 64 cm horizontal repeat. Elvaston Indigo must be professionally dry cleaned and must not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Pair the cool indigo and dusty blue flowers with oatmeal upholstery, taupe wood tones and soft cream curtains for a layered, traditional scheme. It can also add gentle pattern and colour to a reading chair, upholstered headboard or relaxed bedspread.

Use the cool indigo and pale blue flowers to bring layered colour to upholstered seating, curtains or a bedspread.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
