Montpellier Plains FabricHAF0383-12
Montpellier Fig has a deep fig-plum tone with a softly mottled surface that shifts subtly between berry, burgundy and muted purple in the light. Its quiet plain weave gives the colour depth without introducing a visible motif.

About this fabric
This Harlequin plain fabric is woven in a rich, dark plum shade, with fine surface variation visible across the swatch rather than a printed pattern. At 330 gsm, it has the visual substance of a versatile mid-weight cloth suited to both upholstery and drapery. The 142 cm usable width gives useful coverage for made-to-measure applications. There is no pattern repeat vertically or horizontally, making the fabric straightforward to cut and position.
How to use it
Use Montpellier Fig on a reading chair, bench or full-length curtain where its muted berry-plum depth can add warmth without becoming bright. Pair it with aged timber, soft taupes or dusty blush tones to bring out the shade’s restrained red-purple character.
Use this deep fig-plum plain weave to bring warm, muted colour and quiet depth to upholstery, curtains or cushions.

Pairs well with
Montpellier Fig is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
