About this fabric

This Harlequin fabric has a substantial 423gsm weight, making it well suited to upholstery. The design is a repeating botanical arrangement of cream flowers, buds, leaves and fine curling stems, with the pale motifs standing clearly against the saffron background. Its 61cm vertical repeat and 70cm horizontal repeat give the pattern a noticeable but manageable medium scale. At 140cm usable width, it offers practical coverage for upholstered pieces, while the stated 177 threads per cm indicates a densely constructed cloth.

How to use it

Use Lustica Saffron on a statement armchair, headboard or occasional sofa where its warm yellow ground can act as the room’s focal colour. Pair it with chalky creams, natural wood and muted olive or tan accents to soften the contrast of the pale botanical forms.

Use the warm saffron ground to bring depth and energy to upholstered seating, balanced with the soft cream foliage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
