Mala Slate combines a cool slate-grey ground with closely layered ivory palm and fan leaves. Fine linear detailing and small cut-out shapes give the foliage a crisp, graphic character.

About this fabric
The slate ground reads muted and cool, while the ivory leaves create a light contrast without making the colourway feel bright or stark. The botanical pattern is formed from overlapping palm fronds, striped leaflets, dotted openings and solid angular foliage, creating a dense but clearly legible surface. At 325gsm and 140cm usable width, Mala Slate has a substantial mid-weight presence suited to upholstery and drapery. Its pattern repeat measures 73cm vertically by 70cm horizontally, and the cloth has 146 threads per cm with a 25m standard length.
How to use it
Use Mala Slate to give a contemporary chair, headboard or full-length curtain a cool, leafy focus, pairing the slate ground with warm ivory, pale timber or soft grey furnishings. Its repeated foliage can also balance plain upholstery in deeper charcoal or natural stone tones.
