Mala Ochre

Salinas Prints And Weaves FabricHAF0332-01

Mala Ochre combines a warm, muted ochre ground with overlapping ivory fan-palm leaves and finely drawn fronds. The dense foliage creates a lively all-over surface, softened by the earthy colour balance.

About this fabric

The ochre reads as a mellow, sun-baked gold rather than a bright yellow, giving the ivory leaf forms a gentle, high-contrast outline. Its 73 cm vertical and 70 cm horizontal pattern repeat creates a closely layered rhythm of palms across the 140 cm usable width. At 325 gsm with 146 threads per cm, the fabric has a substantial, closely made feel suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. In the image, the clean pale fronds sit crisply against the warm ground, while the repeated leaf overlaps add visual depth without introducing additional colours.

How to use it

Use Mala Ochre to warm a neutral room through a statement chair, Roman blind or full-length curtains. Pair its muted ochre and ivory palette with natural timber, woven textures and soft cream upholstery to keep the palm motif relaxed rather than tropical-bright.

A warm ochre and ivory palm-leaf design that brings an easy, sun-washed character to upholstery, curtains and cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
