Mala Slate

Salinas Wallpapers WallpaperHAW0162-03

Mala Slate combines a cool, smoky slate-grey ground with overlapping palm fronds in muted taupe and stone tones. The broad, sweeping leaves create a bold botanical rhythm, softened by the colourway’s understated depth.

About this fabric

The large-scale palm leaves are defined by slate-grey negative space and pale taupe infill, giving the pattern a calm, graphic contrast rather than a bright tropical effect. Subtle tonal variation across the surface keeps the grey ground from appearing flat and adds a lightly weathered visual quality. This wallpaper has a 52 cm usable width and comes in a standard 10.05 m length, with a 64 cm vertical pattern repeat. At 221 gsm, Mala Slate offers a substantial paper specification for lining walls with this layered frond design.

How to use it

Use Mala Slate on a feature wall or throughout a snug where its cool slate background can balance warm timber, aged brass and soft taupe upholstery. Keep accompanying colours muted so the overlapping fronds remain the room’s main graphic element.

Use the cool slate ground and softened taupe fronds to bring graphic botanical depth to a room without introducing a bright accent colour.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
