Portland Citrus 1

SS22 Images - Enchanted Garden, Geometrica, Water Meadow & Portland Fabric

Portland Citrus 1 pairs creamy ground tones with lively vertical bands of softened citrus yellow and narrow grey pinstripes. The result is a fresh, airy stripe that feels light rather than brash.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, Portland Citrus 1 is a versatile fabric with a usable width of 137cm and a 35cm horizontal repeat. Its 30,000 Martindale rating and heavy domestic upholstery grade make it suitable for everyday seating as well as drapery and accessories, while FR treatment is available for both drapery and upholstery. Visually, the colourway reads as a gentle lemon-yellow on an ivory background, with the yellow kept soft and chalky by the fine woven texture and the slim grey companions between the broader stripes. The overall effect is clean and optimistic, with enough pattern structure to stand out in a room without overpowering it.

How to use it

Use it to bring warmth to pale wood, painted whitework or soft grey upholstery schemes. The sunny stripe works especially well in relaxed country or coastal interiors where a little colour is needed without losing lightness.

A bright but softened stripe that lifts neutral schemes without feeling harsh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
