Portland Grape 2

SS22 Images - Enchanted Garden, Geometrica, Water Meadow & Portland Fabric

Portland Grape 2 shows a bold vertical stripe in muted grape red, set against a soft ivory ground. The pattern reads crisp and architectural, with a woven texture that gives the stripe gentle depth.

About this fabric

This 100% cotton fabric has a usable width of 137cm and a 35cm horizontal pattern repeat, making it suitable for drapery, upholstery and accessories. In this colourway, the central stripe is a dusky grape red with a warm berry undertone, while the surrounding ground stays light and creamy for strong contrast. The woven surface softens the geometry, so the stripe feels structured but not harsh. With a Heavy Domestic upholstery grade and a 30,000 Martindale rating, it is practical as well as decorative, and it is treatable for FR drapery and upholstery.

How to use it

The soft ivory ground and berry-red stripe work well in rooms with pale plaster, oak and aged brass. Use it for accent upholstery or full-length curtains where the vertical pattern can add height and definition.

Use with linen neutrals and walnut tones for a tailored, softly contemporary scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
