Water Meadow Cornflower Wavy has a soft, watercolor feel, with pale ground cloth washed over in cornflower, lilac, sage and gold tones. The large floral motif reads airy rather than bold, giving the fabric a fresh, meadow-like softness.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton, this Water Meadow colourway has a gentle printed surface that lets the painterly stems and flowers sit quietly on the cloth. The 46cm horizontal and vertical repeat gives the design a broad, flowing rhythm, with the motifs spaced to show movement across the width of 141cm. Cornflower blue and muted lilac are lifted by sage, taupe and warm ochre accents, while the pale base keeps the overall effect light and breathable. With a 20,000 martindale and general domestic upholstery grade, it is suitable for cushions, curtains and lighter upholstery, and it is treatable for FR drapery and upholstery.

How to use it

This cooler, softly coloured version works well in calm bedrooms or sitting rooms where you want pattern without weight. Pair it with chalk white, washed oak and muted linen textures to keep the watercolour palette feeling open.

Use with pale woods and textured neutrals to let the painterly blooms stay light and airy.
