About this fabric

Water Meadow Marshlands Cornflower Flat is a 100% cotton fabric with a 141cm usable width and a 46cm horizontal and vertical repeat. The design shows slender marsh grasses and seedheads drawn in muted taupe, blush, grey and pale ochre, set against a cool, misty blue-grey sky and a soft ivory ground. Its 20,000 Martindale rating and general domestic upholstery grade make it suitable for light everyday seating as well as drapery and accessories. Treatable for FR drapery and upholstery, it brings a gentle, painterly surface that reads calm rather than vivid, with the cornflower tones kept deliberately veiled and diffuse.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want a tranquil, slightly cool focal point; it works especially well with limewashed walls, blond timber and linen upholstery. The muted blue sky notes also make it easy to layer with sage, oatmeal and dusty rose accents.

Pair its airy cornflower sky and muted reed tones with pale woods and chalky neutrals for a calm, contemporary scheme.
