About this fabric

This colourway shows a mid-to-dark grey ground softened by olive and taupe notes, with lighter speckling that catches the light across the weave. As a plain from the Modena collection, it has a restrained, tactile surface rather than a printed motif, which keeps the look versatile and understated. The fabric is 100% polyester and specified for contract use, with an impressive 80,000 Martindale, making it suitable for demanding seating schemes. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and after care includes professional dry clean in situ or washable at 40°C, subject to the pattern book guidance.

How to use it

Use Modena Grey on banquettes, dining chairs or smart lounge seating where a muted, mineral-toned grey is needed. It pairs well with pale timber, black metal and brushed brass, and the warm undertone helps it sit comfortably alongside stone and taupe finishes.

A muted, contract-grade grey that suits tailored seating and tonal schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
