Orion Iii Fabric

Orion III Aubergine is a deep, wine-toned purple textile with a softly irregular surface. Fine horizontal striations move across the colour, giving the dark shade subtle depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

The colour sits between aubergine and dark burgundy, with warm brown-red undertones visible through the closely textured weave. Its surface is predominantly matte, while lighter threads catch gently in places to create restrained tonal variation. The dense-looking woven texture makes this colourway particularly convincing on upholstered forms, where its depth can read as rich without becoming glossy or overtly decorative. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this deep aubergine on a sofa, armchair or dining seat where its wine-like depth can anchor a room. Pair it with aged timber, brushed metal and warm neutrals to draw out the brown undertones in the weave.

The deep wine-purple tone and understated horizontal texture bring quiet richness to upholstered furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
