Ember Noir

Volume Fabric

Ember Noir is a richly dark textile with a near-black ground densely peppered by warm ivory and beige flecks. Its fine, irregular scatter creates a tactile appearance with depth rather than a defined pictorial motif.

About this fabric

The surface reads as near-black overall, while tiny cream, ivory and muted beige threads break through in a dense, uneven distribution. Flecks vary subtly in size and spacing, producing a granular all-over texture that remains visually intricate at close range. Small lighter threads catch the light as pinpoint highlights, softening the intensity of the black without turning it grey. No further composition, width, rub-test or performance specification is supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Ember Noir on a statement chair, sofa or ottoman where its black depth can anchor a room. Balance the dark ground with warm timber, aged brass or pale neutral upholstery accents that pick up its ivory flecks.

A deep black ground scattered with warm ivory flecks, adding subtle texture and contrast to upholstered pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
