Beachcomber Isle of May is a softly textured plaid woven in a layered palette of dusty mauve, tobacco brown, olive and charcoal. Fine intersecting lines add definition to the broader checks without making the colourway feel busy.

About this fabric

The muted mauve ground gives this wool check a cool, weathered quality, while brown, olive and charcoal bands add earthy depth; occasional ochre lines bring a restrained lift. Its medium-scale plaid is clearly defined but softened by the slightly irregular, tactile look of the weave. Made from 100% wool at approximately 137cm wide, it is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery and carries Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades. After-care is dry clean.

How to use it

Use Isle of May on a reading chair, sofa or fixed seat where its mauve-and-earth palette can soften timber and leather, or make relaxed curtains that echo olive and brown accents elsewhere in the room.
