About this fabric

Beachcomber Bressay is woven as a balanced plaid of ochre-gold, muted lilac-purple, taupe and deep brown, with larger checks broken by fine horizontal and vertical pin lines. The wool weave gives the blocks a softly blended, matte surface, so the purple reads shaded rather than bright against the mustard ground. Made from 100% wool at approximately 137cm wide, it is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic grades. The supplied after-care instruction is dry clean.

How to use it

Use the warm ochre checks to lift a neutral room, balancing them with the colourway’s muted purple and taupe in cushions, painted woodwork or occasional furniture. Its 137cm width and specified curtain use also make it suitable for bringing the same plaid to window dressings alongside fixed upholstery.

Use the ochre and muted purple checks to bring layered colour to upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
