Cosmos Velvet II Brick Red
Cosmos Velvet Velvet029
Cosmos Velvet II Brick Red has a warm, earthy red tone that shifts towards brown across its softly mottled velvet surface. The directional pile catches the light in subtle darker and lighter patches, giving this plain colourway depth without a printed motif.

About this fabric
The swatch shows a deep brick red with russet and smoky brown variation, rather than a bright or cool scarlet. Its close velvet pile creates a gently crushed, tactile texture, with the nap producing understated tonal movement across the surface. Made from 24% cotton and 76% polyester, the fabric is approximately 137cm wide and specified for curtains and fixed upholstery. It is graded for Contract and General Domestic use, with dry-clean after-care.
How to use it
Use this warm brick-red velvet on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard to bring enveloping depth to a room, then repeat the russet-brown undertone in timber, leather or aged metal. It can also be carried through into curtains for a richer, cocooning scheme.
A rich brick-red velvet with softly varied pile, suited to fixed upholstery and coordinating curtains.

Pairs well with
Cosmos Velvet II Brick Red is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
