Kitty Classic Red

English Garden Fabric

Kitty Classic Red is a richly coloured botanical print with a warm red ground and a dense arrangement of curling stems, flowers and foliage. Teal-blue leaves, pale flowers and touches of peach, ochre and cream give the repeat an intricate, garden-like character.

About this fabric

The warm red background has a strong, saturated presence, while the teal foliage introduces a cooler contrast and the cream, peach and ochre flowers soften the overall effect. The densely spaced floral repeat has an ornate, formal feel, with twisting beige stems and varied botanical forms clearly visible across the swatch. Made from 100% linen, this 137cm-wide fabric is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades. Allow 3% shrinkage; after-care is a delicate wash at 30°C or dry cleaning.

How to use it

Use Kitty Classic Red for statement curtains in a traditional or layered room, or as fixed upholstery where its warm red ground can anchor softer cream, teal and natural linen tones. Repeat the teal-blue foliage in cushions or painted joinery for a more considered scheme.

Use the warm red ground to bring depth to curtains, loose covers or tailored fixed upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kitty Classic Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
