Ollaberry Roxburgh Balvenie

Ollaberry Roxburgh FabricLF0927FR

Balvenie is a deep, atmospheric plaid woven in dark brown and charcoal, crossed by fine plum lines. Muted tan and olive-grey threads soften the contrast and give the surface a subtly weathered depth.

About this fabric

The design combines broad brown and charcoal checks with narrower plum, tan and olive-grey overchecks, creating a measured tartan-like grid. Its dense woven surface appears softly brushed, with the mixed-colour threads producing a gently mottled finish rather than a flat block of colour. The plum lines bring a restrained flash of colour through the otherwise earthy ground, while the darker intersections add visual weight. With its substantial-looking weave and defined pattern, this colourway is particularly well suited to upholstered chairs, stools and occasional seating.

How to use it

Use Balvenie on a statement armchair or dining seat where its dark brown ground can anchor a room. Pick up the restrained plum lines with aubergine cushions or accessories, and balance them with tan leather, aged timber or olive-grey textiles.

Pair the dark brown base with warm timber, charcoal upholstery and plum or aubergine accents for a richly layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
