About this fabric

This colourway reads as midnight blue pushed close to black, rather than a clear or saturated navy. Tiny loops and scattered fibres build a compact, woolly-looking texture across the face of the cloth. The dark surface absorbs most of the light, while raised curls catch subtle blue-grey highlights and prevent it from appearing completely flat. The dense, tactile appearance makes it particularly convincing for upholstered pieces and other furniture-led applications.

How to use it

Pair this blackened blue with charcoal, smoked oak and muted metal for a restrained scheme, or use it against pale stone and warm timber so the textured surface and cool depth become the room’s anchor.

Use this near-black blue on upholstery where its dense, tactile surface can add depth to a dark, tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
