Arlyn Fabric

Kali Liquorice has a deep charcoal ground threaded with warm taupe, creating a softly contrasted woven surface. Its close-up texture forms a small, repeated chevron pattern with a tactile, almost peppered appearance.

About this fabric

The dense black-charcoal tone gives this colourway a grounded, tailored feel, while the taupe flecks prevent it from reading as a flat solid. Fine alternating threads create compact zigzag bands across the face, producing quiet movement rather than a bold graphic statement. The surface appears substantial and tightly woven, making it particularly suited to upholstered furniture. No further composition, width, rub-test or performance specifications were supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Kali Liquorice on a structured armchair, sofa or dining seat where its charcoal depth can anchor a room. Pair it with warm timber, aged metal and lighter taupe or oatmeal textiles to draw out the softer threads in the weave.

A dark, finely textured upholstery cloth that brings subtle graphic interest to contemporary and tailored seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
