Obi Denim

Sakura FabricCCF0422-02

Obi Denim layers a pale, cool denim-blue ground with slate-blue geometric forms, giving the Sakura design a softly weathered, graphic character. Its lightly distressed surface brings visible movement to the repeated pattern.

About this fabric

The design is built from irregular diamonds, stepped chevrons and broken angular shapes, with the darker slate blue softened by fine vertical striations and mottled woven marks. This colourway reads cool and muted rather than bright, while the pale ground keeps the overall effect light. At 240gsm and 138cm wide, it is a versatile mid-weight suitable for both upholstery and drapery. The pattern repeats every 42cm vertically and 23cm horizontally, allowing the geometric layout to remain clearly present across a larger application.

How to use it

Use Obi Denim on a relaxed sofa, occasional chair or full-length curtains where its pale blue ground can lift the room without losing pattern. Combine it with warm white, pale grey, bleached wood and small touches of ink blue to balance the cool slate detailing.

Pair the cool denim ground with chalky neutrals, weathered timber and deeper blue accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
