Robin`s Wood Inkwood

Arboretum Fabrics FabricSAF0402-04

Robin’s Wood Inkwood is a vivid botanical fabric with layered leaves and berry clusters set over a soft pale ground. The mix of ink blue, teal, rose and moss gives the design a richly wooded feel without losing brightness.

About this fabric

This Arboretum Fabrics design by Sanderson is supplied as a fabric with a usable width of 137 cm and a standard length of 60 m. At 300 gsm, it has enough substance for upholstery while still feeling suitable for drapery, and the 19.5 threads per cm suggest a closely woven cloth with a crisp printed surface. The large repeat of 81 cm vertical and 66.4 cm horizontal allows the leafy pattern to open out properly across wider spans. In this Inkwood colourway, the palette reads cool and fresh at first glance, then deepens with inky blues, teal foliage, berry reds and softened olive and clay notes against the light background.

How to use it

Use it to bring colour to a reading chair, ottoman or lined curtain in a room with painted woodwork or pale walls. The cool blues and berry reds work especially well alongside warm timber, brass and stone finishes.

Use for statement upholstery or drapes where the lively leaf print can be seen clearly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
