About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is a substantial 300gsm textile with a usable width of 138 cm, making it suitable for both upholstery and drapery projects. The pattern repeat is 62 cm vertically and 46 cm horizontally, so the fig branches have room to breathe across larger pieces. In this Chalk/Orchid colourway, the leaves read as soft blue-grey and pale sage, while the fruit brings in blush and orchid pink accents against the creamy background. The overall effect is lighter and more delicate than a darker botanical print, with a washed, almost chalk-dust finish that keeps the design calm rather than bold.

How to use it

Use it on curtains, cushions or a statement armchair where the pale ground can lift the room and the orchid notes add a subtle colour accent. It works especially well with painted woods, linen neutrals and soft grey-green schemes.

Fresh fig motifs on a pale ground bring a soft, countryside feel to relaxed interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Fig Harvest Chalk/Orchid without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
