Calathea Botanical Green

Calathea Botanical Green is a lively leaf print scattered across a clean white ground, with layered foliage in fresh greens from soft celadon to brighter botanical tones. The oversized repeat gives the design a lush, indoor-garden feel that reads bright rather than heavy.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Glasshouse Fabrics collection has a usable width of 139 cm and a substantial 236 gsm weight, giving the printed cloth enough presence for window treatment and light decorative use. The design shows clusters of elongated calathea leaves, striped fronds and spotted leaf forms in multiple greens, with pale highlights that keep the pattern feeling crisp on the white ground. The vertical repeat is 89 cm and the horizontal repeat is 139 cm, so the motif is built on a broad, statement scale rather than a tight all-over texture. With 74 threads per cm, the cloth has a refined printed surface that lets the leaf shapes stay sharp and clear. The overall effect is fresh, airy and distinctly botanical, with enough body to hang neatly while still feeling light in colour.

How to use it

Use it for curtains, blinds or relaxed loose covers in rooms that need a bright, leafy lift. It works especially well with white, oak and simple green accents, letting the vivid foliage become the main decorative feature.

Pair with crisp linen or pale timber to let the leafy print stay fresh and airy.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Calathea Botanical Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
