Calathea Olive
Glasshouse Fabrics FabricSAF0281-02
Calathea Olive shows a lively botanical trail of overlapping leaves across a warm off-white ground. The olive greens are softened with pale sage, while flashes of pink-red add a fresher, more contemporary edge.

About this fabric
This Sanderson fabric is catalogued as a 236 gsm textile with a 139 cm usable width, and its 89 cm vertical repeat and full-width horizontal repeat make the large-scale leaf clusters feel expansive across the cloth. The design is built from layered calathea leaves, including striped fronds and perforated leaf forms, all picked out in muted olive and green tones. Against the pale creamy ground, the pattern reads light rather than heavy, with just enough contrast for the foliage to stand clear. The thin rose-pink stems and occasional deep magenta accents give the colourway extra lift without disturbing its calm, leafy character.
How to use it
Use it where you want a botanical print that feels airy rather than dense, such as lined curtains or relaxed blinds in a room with natural light. Its soft olive palette sits comfortably with oak, rattan, chalky paint colours and gentle blush accessories.
The pale olive leaves and blush accents keep this print fresh and airy.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Calathea Olive without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
