Hosta Green

2026 Paint PaintSAP1072-45

Hosta Green is a calm, mid-depth green with a soft grey cast that keeps it grounded. In Sanderson’s 2026 Paint range, it feels measured and usable rather than bright or earthy.

About this colour

This shade reads as a balanced green with a cool undertone, softened by enough warmth to stop it feeling sharp. On a wall, #8EA791 holds light gently rather than throwing it back, so it can make a room feel settled and composed. In a north-facing room it will look more subdued and slightly greyer, while in south-facing light the green comes forward more clearly and the warmth in it shows. Active Emulsion and Waterbased Eggshell both suit it well, especially where a finish needs to support the colour’s quiet character on walls or woodwork. It sits neatly beside pale oak, walnut, chalky whites, deep navy, and natural linens.

How to use it

Hosta Green works well in sitting rooms, studies, and bedrooms where a steady background colour is needed. It is a good partner for painted joinery, timber furniture, and upholstered pieces in cream, oatmeal, brown, or muted blue tones.

A quiet green that stays balanced on the wall and changes gently with the light.

Order it with the cloth

A pot comes off the same order as the fabric, so the wall and the chair in front of it are chosen together. The making is ours: cut, sewn and fitted in our own Heybridge workshop, with Simon over every stage.

Pairs well with

Hosta Green is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
