About this fabric
This colourway combines amethyst, aubergine and olive-brown tones with flashes of warm ochre and muted lilac, giving the design a painterly, clouded look. The visible surface has the character of a woven fabric rather than a flat print, which helps the colours appear softened and slightly diffused. Made from 100% polyester and suitable for curtaining and upholstery, it has a 137 cm width and a pattern repeat of H137 x V90. With a Martindale rub test of 60,000+, it is well suited to hard-working interior schemes where the colour needs to carry some depth and drama.
How to use it
Use it on a statement armchair or ottoman to bring out the darker plum notes, or make curtains feel more atmospheric by pairing it with taupe, mushroom or antique brass. The warmer bronze areas also work well alongside walnut wood and textured linen.
Pair with warm neutrals and brushed metals to let the jewel tones stand out.
Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Alchemy Pv Amethyst without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
